Hitting: press a shot button before the ball reaches you; you swing automatically when it arrives. Press early for more power. Let go of the button just as the ball arrives for a PERFECT shot. Forehand or backhand is picked from which side the ball is on. Hitting before the bounce is a volley, and a high ball near the net becomes a smash.
Serving: press any shot button to toss, then press again near the top of the toss. Left-click = flat (fast), right-click = slice (curves), E = kick (safe, jumps up). Aim with the mouse.
Scoring: 0, 15, 30, 40, game. At 40–40 it's deuce, and you need two points in a row. Six games wins a set (by two, or a tiebreak at 6–6). The serve must land in the box diagonally opposite. You get two tries, and a serve that clips the net and lands in is a let and gets replayed.
Tennis and pickleball shot keys. Click a key, then press the new one (Esc cancels). Left-click always plays the first shot and right-click the second. Movement is WASD or the arrow keys.
